The second part of Przydomowe Magazyny Energii (PME2), the storage-only successor of Mój Prąd, is open. NFOŚiGW started accepting applications in the GWD generator on 20 October 2026 at 9:00 and will take them until 1 October 2027 at 20:00, or earlier if the PLN 1 billion Modernisation Fund budget is exhausted. Grants refund completed investments with costs incurred from 1 November 2025, so batteries already installed qualify.
Electricity storage of at least 10 kWh (and at least 2 kWh per 1 kWp of PV) receives 30% of eligible costs up to PLN 800 per kWh, capped at PLN 16,000 for net-billing prosumers and PLN 8,000 for prosumers still on net-metering. An extra PLN 2,000 is paid once for an EU-made battery or hybrid inverter, heat storage of at least 100 litres gets 30% up to PLN 1,000, and the overall ceiling is PLN 19,000 per metering point. The battery price may not exceed PLN 3,000/kWh excluding inverter and EMS, the unit must support island mode, the EMS must meet ETSI EN 303 645 cybersecurity requirements and the equipment must be new (made no more than 24 months before installation). More than 1,100 applications worth about PLN 11 million arrived in the first two days; NFOŚiGW expects to start assessing PME2 applications around late November or December (up to 120 days) and pays within 20 working days of signing the agreement.
For installers: sell systems of at least 10 kWh sized at 2 kWh per kWp or more, keep the battery price below PLN 3,000/kWh, and hand customers the grid-operator connection certificate and the EMS/cybersecurity declarations they need for the refund application.
