The province of Flevoland reports that the maximum number of applications for its home-battery subsidy has been reached and that no further applications are accepted in 2026. The scheme opened on 12 January 2026 and pays 25% of eligible costs (excl. VAT), with a minimum of €750 and a maximum of €1,250 per home that already has solar panels. The owner-occupier quota was exhausted within weeks; on 1 October 2026 the province released the roughly €400,000 left over from the tenant quota without separate quotas, and that tranche was gone the same day.
The total ceiling is €1,750,000 for 2026–2027. The second half (€875,000) becomes available in early 2027; the exact opening date has not been announced and will be published on flevoland.nl. Demand is driven by the end of net metering on 1 January 2027, and the province expects the 2027 round to fill quickly as well.
For installers: Do not quote Flevoland customers a subsidy for installations completed in 2026 — new applications are rejected. Prepare 2027 orders so the customer can file on opening day (PV system in place, invoice and installer details ready) and warn that the 2027 pot is likely to close within hours again.
