KfW's 'Erneuerbare Energien Plus' programme (570) started on 18 June 2026 alongside the long-standing KfW 270. It finances company investments in plants generating electricity, heat or cooling from renewable sources and in energy storage, new builds as well as modernisations, with promotional loans of up to €150 million per project and no minimum amount. Applications go through the company's bank or another financing partner; the investment may be located in the EU, the United Kingdom or Norway.
The programme targets electricity sold under direct supply contracts (PPAs) or used on site rather than fed in under the EEG: plants already receiving EEG, KWKG or BEW support or comparable state aid are excluded. Unlike the aid-free KfW 270, the Plus loan counts as state aid, so combination with regional grants must be checked case by case. Interest rates are published on kfw.de/570.
For installers: EPCs selling PV with batteries to manufacturers, logistics sites or retailers now have a federal financing route for projects that stay outside the EEG, useful while the EEG 2027 reform is unresolved. Prepare a financing-ready offer (yield forecast, self-consumption share, PPA term sheet) that the client's bank can forward to KfW before any supply contract is signed.
