The National Development Bank (NRB) reopened its 'Nové úspory energie' programme on 5 August 2026 with CZK 2 billion. Businesses of any size can obtain an interest-free loan of CZK 500,000 to 60 million covering up to 90 % of eligible costs, with a 10-year maturity and principal deferral of up to two years. After completion a performance contribution of up to 20 % of eligible costs (down from 35 %) is paid, depending on the energy savings actually achieved; it cannot exceed the loan drawn.
Eligible measures are building energy-saving investments: insulation, windows and doors, cooling, heat-recovery ventilation, hot-water heating and renewable energy sources. Projects must be located in the Central Bohemian, South Bohemian, South Moravian, Plzeň or Vysočina region. Rooftop PV with storage therefore qualifies as part of a wider building-efficiency project; whether a standalone PV installation qualifies should be confirmed with NRB.
For installers: package rooftop PV and batteries with LED, heat-pump or ventilation upgrades for SME and industrial clients in the five regions, and prepare the energy assessment early; the 20 % contribution is tied to measured savings, so realistic yield and self-consumption figures matter.
